1. A guide to fishing Long Island Sound. by Captain Michael Roy of Reel Cast Charters:
The best techniques including artificial live bait and how to use your electronics to locate fish.
Captain Mike Roy is the founder and operator of Reel Cast Charters, a full-time fishing charter based out of Connecticut. His angling pursuits have taken him cross country, as well as internationally, fishing in both fresh and salt water from large mouth bass to giant bluefin tuna. An innovative angler, he is constantly applying new techniques, and his enthusiasm and passion for the sport are contagious. Captain Mike is a United States Coast Guard OUPV Licensed Captain and graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s and Masters Degree in Education. Jigging Artificial Lures - From Scup to Bluefin and species in between!
2. Tom Fucini, Tsunami Tackle Sales Representative, will cover different jigging techniques that can be applied to both inshore and offshore fishing.
The presentation will cover tackle selection, rigging, and techniques to effectively target multiple species accessible to boaters in and around Long Island Sound. The three main topics that will be covered are slow pitch jigging for bottom fish, bottom bouncing artificial eels for Striped Bass and speed jigging for Bluefin Tuna.
