We are having our 8th Annual Fluke-Fest, a 4 Day Tournament event that will commence on July 14th, 2022, and run until Sunday, July 17th at 3PM. The heaviest fish wins a cash prize, and second place wins a rod and reel combo.
We will also be hosting several Calcutta's for Fluke, Seabass, Dogfish, and Sea Robin. Each Calcutta cost's $20 (before taxes/fees) to enter and the winner is the angler with the heaviest fish FOR EACH CALCUTTA. The winner takes home a cash prize based on the amount of sign-ups for that Calcutta.
This is a 4 day open tournament with a $40 entry fee per angler (before taxes/fees). The first 50 sign-ups will receive a BHO 2022 Fluke Fest t-shirt. We will contact you when the shirts are available for pick up. The heaviest 2 fish from the 4 days of fishing WIN!All entrants MUST be signed up by 5:00 AM on 7/14 in order to be eligible to weigh in a fish. All fish must be weighed in on our certified scale at our WESTBROOK location.
Today's the big day, the END of Fluke Fest 2022! Big congrats to everyone who won and everyone else who participated. When the dust settled, Mike Briggs took the top spot of the main tournament along with the Fluke Calcutta with his 6.53 pound doormat! Not to be outdone, Lew Hutchinson came in a close second place with his 6.07 pounder however, Lew wasn't content only taking home second place, so he also took home the Sea Robin Calcutta with his 1.53 pounder, out doing Kevin Smith's 1.46 pounder. Remarkably, George Bender managed to secure his win in the Seabass Calcutta with his 2.98 pounder; only 0.01 pound less than Lew’s weigh-in (Now THAT’S a close win)! Finally, Brian Oretel managed to hold on to his lead in the Dogfish Calcutta with his impressive 12 pounder!
Big congrats again to everyone who participated and to all the winners! To all the winners, stay tuned for a call from us letting you know when your prize is ready to pick up. We are just finalizing the details now, so it may be a few days. To everyone who hasn’t already done so, please stop by at your earliest convenience to pick up your Fluke Fest shirts. We have plenty still available in L, XL, and 2XL sizes.
