April 29th - Schoolies and Tog Time!

Fresh schoolies have moved in with a few quality fish in the mix. Top water just before dark then paddle tail soft plastics after that has been the ticket. Fishing the herring run areas has been a key to success.

Also heard that the tog bite is solid right now with the majority of the fish being good size. Solid keeper fish 19-21" have been coming off the breakwalls from Madison through Old Saybrook- With the weather breaking this coming weekend, and water temps getting right, break out your Tog-Gear and hit some of the local rock piles now!- we'll have green crabs this weekend for anyone looking to venture out

On the freshwater side- anglers roaming old weed beds searching for the active fish with reaction baits with flash water temp is 48 currently.- Good solid shoreline action is everywhere on those areas exposed to southern sunshine and higher water temps
