Ray Ramos

  • Fly Fishers International Certified Fly-Casting Instructor
  • Graduate of the Wulff School of Fly Fishing's instructors’ Course

I am a lifelong angler, chasing fish since childhood. Specifically, I picked up a fly rod 25 years ago and I have not put it down since. In New England I enjoy casting flies to fresh and saltwater species, although saltwater has now become my obsession and area of focus.

My professional background has been in the field of conservation, education, and protection of our natural resources. Recognizing my love for fly fishing and my passion for teaching, I became a Federation of Fly Fishers International (FFI) Certified Fly-Casting Instructor (CI) and a graduate of the Wulff School of Fly Fishing's instructors’ course. I now teach all things fly fishing to individuals, school groups, clubs, and fly fishing shows.

I am a professional guide and own and operate Brackish Waters Fly Fishing charters. We specialize in saltwater fly angling experiences in southeastern CT and Rhode Island waters, getting anglers tight on everything that swims our southern New England waters.
